A Fire training exercise

It isn't often someone offers you the opportunity to burn down a building and get live fire training in the process. That was the case recently when firefighters from Dobbins/Oregon House and Foothill Fire gained valuable experience in extinguishing a structure fire. An Extrication training exercise

Hopefully you will never need these services but if you do know that the latest equipment and techniques are available to you. To see some photos of your firefighters in action click on Extrication exercise

The Fire Auxiliary

It is difficult to imagine where the fire department would be without the support of the Fire Auxiliary. Over the years the members of the Auxiliary have worked thousands of hours and donated thousands of dollars toward the betterment of the department. Recently they paid over half the cost of the new fire engine pictured on the Home Page. They also paid for the heaters in the engine bays necessary to keep the trucks safe from damage from a hard freeze. With their newly modernized and expanded Thrift Store it is even more likely that the Auxiliary will be able to continue their dedicated and very much appreciated efforts. They are located at 9162 Marysville Road and are open Monday thru Saturday from 10 to 4. To see some photos of the new Thrift Store click on Thrift Store.
